Bona Fide Buddies: A Series of Chats with Event Industry Friends
First of all, you may be asking yourself, what the heck is Bona Fide Buddies? I hatched the plan for this blogging series in response to a time where there is so much stress in the event industry. It's the chaos known as COVID-19, and it's affecting our clients along with venues, vendors, etc. It is also a time where I feel we should be helping to lift each other up and, frankly, I have the time to give to it now, so why not? The series of interviews to follow in the coming weeks is an attempt to introduce some of my favorite vendors and venues by asking questions about what they do and what makes them tick!
In the event industry and, especially, the wedding industry, there are just so many options! It is no secret that the choices can get a little overwhelming. As a planner, I am only as good as the good folks that make the magic happen! I may have a killer plan in place, but having a fantastic venue and a great team of vendors by my side is truly the key to my success. These are the folks that live in the background of special events. They are the caterers, the rental companies, the florists, the lighting, the linens, the hair & makeup artists, photographers, videographers and let's not forget the DJ's, bands and everyone else that contributes to one helluva shindig, Then, of course, there are the venues. The vision does begin here, and not all sites are created equal!
At our best, we are like a band of brothers, a gathering of kindred spirits, passionate and all here for the same reason….to get your party started! To create, to inspire, and to flawlessly execute. We live and breathe it. Bona Fide Buddies will spotlight an array of vendors, asking some helpful questions, revealing some new venues while rediscovering some of our perennial favorites.
