Celebration: Deb + Ian’s Wedding

Location: Museum of Life & Science, Durham, NC

The experience

Working with Deb & Ian was far from boring! They were not only a unique and spirited couple but they also had such a fun vision for their wedding celebration, starting with choosing the Museum of Life & Science as their venue. After a butterfly release in the butterfly house with their guests, the couple exchanged their vows under a handmade chuppah on the museum lawn. Sirius B, a seriously fun band from Asheville, NC played during the cocktail hour while spiked and non-spiked treats were being dished up at the SweetWater Italian Ice cart.

After a walk through the museum grounds, dinner was served by the Durham Catering Company in the heart of the museum with a truly celestial backdrop. What followed dinner was an elaborate dessert fest including a liquid nitrogen ice cream station provided by the museum along with a Mad Hatter Bakeshop cake topped with a tardis (if you don’t know what that is, do look it up!). DJ Ryan had the crowd dancing for the rest of the night, hora and all!
